What you get
Candy AI bundles three things most competitors sell separately: a text chat with a character that persists, image generation tied to that character, and voice replies. After two weeks of daily use the image feature was the strongest part — the characters stayed recognisable from one picture to the next, which is the hardest thing to get right in this category.
Conversation quality
The dialogue runs smoothly and stays in role. Long sessions hold up well, though the app steers the conversation more readily than Nomi does — it will introduce a topic rather than wait for you.
What it actually costs
One paid plan, billed monthly. No forced annual subscription and no hidden credit system for ordinary chat, although heavy image use can reach a fair-use limit. Budget for the standard plan and treat anything else as optional.
Who it is not for
If only the conversation and the memory matter to you, you are paying for features you will not use. Read our Nomi review first.
