What an affiliate link is
If you follow a marked link and take a paid plan, we may earn a commission from the provider. Your price does not change.
What it does not buy
Ratings, ranking slots, and the pros/cons lists are set before any commercial email. A provider cannot buy a place, have a criticism removed, or have a rival dropped. Apps with no affiliate programme are tested the same way. Two of the seven apps on the current ranking pay us nothing.
How to spot them
Affiliate links carry sponsored in the page source and sit next to a notice that says so.
Two apps that pay us nothing
They still sit on the ranking if they earned the score. Commissions fund hosting and paid test accounts, not a better number.
