What it is good at
Warmth. Characters lean affectionate rather than explicit, and they stay that way. A companion you tap through the day on a phone is a different product from one you sit down to on a desktop. Kupid is built for the first.
| Kupid | Sweetdream | Camsoda AI | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Native apps | iOS and Android | Browser | Browser |
| Tone | Romance-first | Story-led | Whatever you build |
| Free chat | Real, thins out on media | Best free conversation | After signup |
| Memory | Shallower than the top three | Medium | Per character |
The builder
Looks and personality, realistic or anime, plus dozens of ready-mades. Faster than Camsoda’s six steps, not as deep. Fine if you want to start talking in five minutes.
Why the score is sixth
Premium is expensive for what you get. Details from a fortnight ago rarely survived. Good at the romance. Priced as if it did more.
On the phone versus in the browser
I used Kupid more on iOS than on desktop. Short bursts, voice notes, then lock screen. On a laptop it feels thinner than Nomi.
