Warmth. The characters lean affectionate rather than explicit, and they stay that way — this is the app to pick if what you want is company rather than content. The mobile apps matter more here than elsewhere: a companion you talk to in short bursts through the day is a different product from one you sit down to.
The builder
Appearance and personality, realistic or anime, with dozens of ready-made characters if you would rather not start from scratch. It is not as deep as Camsoda AI's six-step builder, but it is faster to get through.
Where the score comes from
The premium plans are expensive for what they include, and the memory is shallower than the top three — details from a fortnight ago rarely survive. Good at what it does, priced as though it did more.
